Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1979 (Period 3), the W2245 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive in Southern Region Olive Green has been very popular for collectors and those operating "OO Gauge" Layouts through the years. Running number is 1927.Although just under 1500 have been quoted as produced by Wrenn, Basildon, based on my experience as a collector I believe the figure is far less. As with all Period 3/4 Wrenn Locomotives it has metal rimmed bogie wheels throughout. 

This excellent example has seen little layout use, and comes from the late Period 3 1979 build in my opinion and includes original box, packing rings, tissue, Hornby Dublo coupling conversion kit, and blue Instruction Manual. The top box has the full "W2245 2-6-4 S.R.GREEN" stamp on both ends. . .   

Overall Condition of the Locomotive/box  is "near mint",  considering age..
