This is a great example of the very popular W2236 Dorchester 4-6-2 Rebuilt West Country Class Locomotive in BR Green, running number 34042. This was produced by Wrenn, Basildon throughout all 4 Periods of production. Although most examples today are well "play worn" this is not and is an early Period 4 issue. As with all Period 3/4 Wrenn Locomotives it has metal rimmed bogie and tender wheels. Has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.

The  Locomotive comes in a   Period 4 box , and includes packing rings, tissue, and blue Instruction Manual. The  underneath of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 6 " in red ink indicating 1982 Basildon issue..  

 Condition of  Loco/tender/box is " near mint  " considering their age.   

This is an ideal Locomotive for layout use on BR passenger traffic and/ or the Collection.
