This is a superb example of the Wrenn W.2281 8F 2-8-0 Locomotive in War Department Grey, running number 302.

Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1988, only 207 were produced before closure in 1992. Has seen minimal Layout use if any.

Note : No "browning" of the grey body paint which is a common problem of some examples I have seen over the years.

One of only three production Locomotives that Wrenn produced in the colour Grey, known as one of the "3 Greys" by collectors and a "must" for the layout or collection.

Comes complete with Period 4 box, packing rings, tissue and blue Instruction Manual. The bottom of the inner box is stamped "81146" indicating 46th week , 11 month, 1988, as Basildon issue date.

Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint to mint",  considering their age.
