This is a superb example of the Wrenn W2247 "Clun Castle" in GWR Green, running number 7029. Although most were produced by Wrenn, Basildon in Period 3, to find these examples today in non play worn condition is becoming rare. As with all Period 3 Locomotives it has "metal rimmed" wheels on front bogie and tender. Has the distinct early "Great Western" tender emblems and has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.
Come complete in late Period 3 box, and includes packing rings, tissue, Hornby Dublo coupling conversion kit, and Blue Instruction Manual. Has the usual sellotape residue marks and Packer No 2 stamp in black ink denoting Period 3 Basildon issue, Circa 1978/9..
Condition of Loco/tender/box is " near mint " for their age.
