This is a superb example of the  W2228/A "City of Edinburgh" in BR Green, running number 46241 with late BR crest. This is the MK 1 chassis version, only built between 1980/84 with only 397 issued by Wrenn, Basildon. This example is from the early 1981  build/issue, .

This Wrenn Locomotive is becoming much harder to find these days due to the relatively low production figure and many are "play worn" this example is not and has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.  

Comes complete with original  box, tissue, packing rings and blue Instruction Manual. The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 6 " in red ink indicating early Period 4 Basildon issue..

Overall Condition of Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint t" for their age.
