This is an excellent example of the  Wrenn W2217 LNER 0-6-2 Tank Locomotive in Apple Green, running number 9522. Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in Period 2 (Triang/Wrenn era), this popular tank loco survived in production through Period 3 until 1989 of Period 4. Over 5000 were issued most between 1969/79. 

This example is the standard version without  gold highlights on the motifs above the wheel arches.. Other versions  have been reviewed on this website over the years. I would place this example circa 1974/5 (mid Period 3). Has seen minimal layout use in my opinion..

Comes complete with Period 3 box, and includes tissue, packing rings, Hornby Dublo coupling conversion kit and Instruction Sheet. The inner box has the normal sellotape residue marks denoting Period 3 Basildon issue. 

Condition of Loco/box is "near mint", for their age,.
