This is a superb example of the Wrenn W2260 "Royal Scot" Scot Class Locomotive in LMS Maroon, running number 6100. This is a 1982 Period 4 issue with the standard 3 Pole motor. Although just over 1500 were produced by the Wrenn, Basildon factory between 1981 - 1992, most today are "play - worn" this example is not and has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.  

The Locomotive/tender comes complete in  Period 4 box, and includes packing rings, tissue, packet of smoke deflectors, blue Instruction Manual, and single page Scot Sheet. The underneath of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 6 " in red ink indicating early 1982 Basildon issue. 

Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint",  for their age.
